Retractable Diesel Hose Reel, Filter Unit & Hydraulic Hoses Installed in Perth
A Complete Hose and Filtration Upgrade for a Commercial Workshop
Perth, Western Australia
A Perth-based commercial workshop needed to improve the safety and efficiency of its diesel dispensing setup. The existing arrangement used standard hose runs that were becoming a trip hazard and were showing signs of wear. The client also had concerns about fuel quality at the point of dispense, with no filtration in place between the tank and the nozzle. Handy Fuel WA was brought in to carry out a full upgrade, including a retractable diesel hose reel, an inline filter unit, and replacement hydraulic hoses throughout the system.
The upgrade has made a real difference to how the workshop operates. The retractable reel keeps things tidy, the filter gives us confidence in the fuel quality, and everything was installed neatly and professionally. Exactly what we needed.
Handy Fuel WA supplies and installs retractable hose reels, inline filter units, coded diesel hoses, and fuel nozzles for commercial and industrial applications across Perth and Western Australia. Dispensers & Hose Systems
The workshop serviced heavy plant and equipment on a regular basis and needed a dispensing setup that was practical, safe, and able to deliver clean diesel consistently. The old hose arrangement was a fixed-length setup that didn't retract, creating clutter around the work area and increasing the risk of damage to the hose over time.
Handy Fuel WA's team assessed the existing setup and recommended a retractable hose reel as the primary solution. Retractable reels keep the dispensing area tidy, extend the working life of the hose by preventing it from sitting on the ground, and make the overall dispensing process faster and easier for operators. The reel was selected to suit the flow rate and hose diameter required for the client's diesel system.
An inline diesel filter unit was installed between the storage tank and the dispenser. This ensures that any particulates, water, or contaminants present in the stored fuel are captured before they reach the vehicle or equipment being refuelled. This is particularly important for modern diesel engines, which have tight fuel tolerances and are sensitive to contaminated fuel.
The hydraulic hoses connecting the tank, pump, and dispenser were also assessed and replaced. Several had reached the end of their service life and were at risk of failure. All replacement hoses were coded and rated to the appropriate specification for diesel dispensing.
The completed installation gave the client a clean, safe, and compliant dispensing point that has noticeably improved the efficiency of their refuelling process.
